Valpolicella Superiore 2005; A lush Italian red from Amarone country. A blend of Corvina, Rondonella, Croatina and Oseleta (70/20/5/5). This has comparable richness as its biggest brother; nice developed nose with dense dark fruits (black currants, cherries, a touch of confiture), pepper, licorice and vanilla. On the palate a full bodied wine with good acidity, a bit drying tannins, spicy tones, dark fruits, leather. A dry wine, with good structure. Long finish. Powerrr. 16 pts @ own cellar.
